The role

As a Senior Installer, you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. You will lead and direct the workforce, including agency and sub-contactors on site to ensure safety, productivity and workmanship meet necessary standards.

Day to day, you will be responsible for checking and monitoring the quality of installation works, to ensure staff work safely and efficiently. You will also be required to understand role of site supervisor when requested.

1. Lead and direct a team, ensuring acceptable productivity and workmanship of all team members which may include Agency / Sub-Contractors on site. Ensuring that all work complies with current quality and group / line standards.
2. Ensure productivity and workmanship of staff is of an acceptable standard.
3. Ensure all site operations are carried out safely, and in accordance with standards, report on accidents / near misses as required.
4. Assist in the planning of on-site operations, and future projects.

Essential experience of the Senior Installer:

• Considerable S&T (signalling and telecoms) work experience.
• Signalling modules SMTH, Mod 3C, Mod 5 desirable.
• Able to drive or willing to learn.
• PTS - Personal Track Safety
• COSS(Controller of Site Safety) and PC (Protection Controller) desirable.
• IRSE License.
• Thorough knowledge of H&S rules and regulations of railway workings essential

140 hours over 4 weeks, 4 week roster. Will have to work occasional nights and weekends (2 weekends out of 4)/Full Time/On site.
