We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal ICT Officer to join our innovative team and help shape the future of public services.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

• Work with the Principal ICT Manager to be the single responsible body for technical architectural decisions and considerations within the ICT Team and be the go-to authority on all architectural related matters following the agreed enterprise architecture framework.
• Work with ICT colleagues across the service and organisational stakeholders to ensure applications and data requirements meet Architectural and Security principles, whilst achieving organisational outcomes.
• Work with Solutions stakeholders to provide options papers to identify the right solutions, along with Epics, Features, User Stories, Wireframes Functional and Non-functional Requirements so the best solution is defined and implemented.
• Work with the Principal ICT Manager and Solutions Architecture to help create and manage a framework of best practice, procedures and documentation which support the delivery of the function and ensure processes are in place to enable continuous review and improvement.
• Act as technical specialist or lead expert in the ICT Technical Design function, in line with service delivery requirements, whilst understanding the impact on wider stakeholders and the organisation.

What skills and experience do you need to have:

• Proven experience of managing, motivating and continually developing staff to deliver strong performance.
• Significant experience of applying an ICT Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Significant experience of coordinating an ICT Technical Design function.
• Developing ICT Architectural strategies that are in line with business and organisation requirements.
• Defining ICT Architectural roadmaps that are in line with business and organisation strategies.

Our ICT Team is contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire, but we work on a flexible basis which includes options for home working with an expectation for at least one day per week at location.
