Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Basingstoke or Cardiff

A well established consultant engineering client working across Civil, Structural and Geotechnical consulting is seeking flexible and practical geotechnical design professionals at Senior level. With a minimum of four years' experience, you will be working towards or approaching

Brief overview of role

Design of geotechnical structures in the temporary and permanent case

Design of civil and structural schemes and / or providing input into schemes designed by other disciplines

Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others

Carrying out inspections and surveys of geotechnical structures and preparing reports

Undertaking feasibility / option studies

Ideally you would be someone who is keen to diversify and encompass the scope of project remits which cover domestic and commercial structures, rail, bridge and temporary works in both the public and private sectors. You will be conversant with engineering software and will be supported and supervised by the Directors and Principal Engineers within the office and work in close conjunction with the other offices.

Proactive, dynamic and intuitive, you will be as happy to work on your own initiative as well as being a team player and interacting comfortably with the other staff members.

A full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not essential and you must be eligible to live and work in the UK without the need for sponsorship and

have a high standard of written English
