Job title: Aerospace Mechanical / Electrical Engineer [Flight Systems]

About the role
The Flight Systems capability conducts hazard based Evaluation & Test of Mechanical and Integrated Electrical Power Systems on a wide variety of aircraft platforms to ensure the equipment and systems are safe for flight, as well as being fit for purpose. Evaluations are conducted on Transport, Combat, Helicopter and Un-manned Air platforms.
What will I be doing?
The Aerospace Mechanical / Electrical Engineer is responsible for the efficient, safe and effective conduct of specific evaluation, test and / or trial activities. This will typically encompass Air platform Certification, Qualification, Performance, Operability and Safety in the role domains. You will provide specialist scientific or technical advice and / or consultation. Tasks encompass the project lifecycle from technical strategy through to delivery, as part of multidisciplinary teams, requiring solution definition effort and will be delivered in accordance with the associate Project Delivery Plan.
The Aerospace Mechanical / Electrical Engineer will typically undertake a range of evaluations encompassing single equipment or role related changes to a platform, through to the assessment of newly introduced aircraft and deliver technical hazard and risk based reporting.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience of Aerospace Mechanical and Integrated Electrical Power Systems, equivalent to Incorporated or Chartered Engineer level.
