We primarily collaborate with the record labels but also work closely with other key departments such as Commercial, Legal, HR, and Production. Our goal is to enhance business decision-making and deliver optimal financial outcomes, ensuring that each aspect of the business is aligned for success.Your role:This role is responsible for supporting the Financial Planning Director of Atlantic & Rhino in financial planning and ongoing business support. The role is a combination of budgeting, forecasting and month end responsibilities in addition to preparation of deal appraisals and analysis for distribution to senior management.Here youll get to:Take ownership of the A&R spend for the Atlantic roster. This includes reviewing recording budgets with the A&R co-ordination team, liaising with Business Affairs on advances and consultants and being across Tour Support requestsPrepare monthly A&R financials, including review of POs and transactions, to ensure accuracy & completeness of A&R accrual. Preparation of variance analysis for discussion in department month end meetingWork closely with Business Affairs to prepare deal appraisals for potential new signings and renegotiation of current artist agreementsUpdate label forecast models for monthly MUR actuals and forecastReview of Atlantic sales units forecastPrepare P&Ls to support decision making on product pricingPrepare and provide commentary as necessary on monthly balance sheet reconciliations and income statement accountsPrepare monthly A&R cashflow submissionsAssist the Financial Planning Director with forecast and budget preparation including sales history information and populating the model with domestic & MUR sales forecastsPrepare recoupable cost data to be submitted to royalties for inclusion on artist royalty statementsAssist the Financial Planning Director in checking the costs and revenue/earnings on artist royalty statementsCarry out other ad-hoc duties as required within the label finance teamsAbout you:CIMA/ ACCA finalist with proven Financial Planning experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical skills and an ability to work through problems logically.Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the business.Diligent with excellent attention to detail.Initiative, drive and strength of character.Self starter able to identify areas for improvement and take action to implement changeCommercial awareness and business acumen.Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.Flexible attitude towards working hours around key Finance deadlinesWed love it if you also had:Experience of working in a similar role in a media/music company desirable but not essentialExperience in a Finance/Financial Planning teamAs the home to 10K Projects, Asylum, Atlantic Music Group, East West, FFRR, Fueled by Ramen, Nonesuch, Parlophone, Rhino, Roadrunner, Sire, Warner Records, Warner Classics, and several other of the worlds premier recording labels, Warner Music Group champions emerging artists and global superstars alike.
