Job Title Senior Financial Analyst

Role Introduction

Mainly providing Financial analysis and support for the AQaaS P&L with potentially other expanding responsibilities to the other UK Merchant SMB P&Ls.

Typical responsibilities would include, guiding the month-end close process working with accounting to ensure journals are booked correctly and on time. Monthly/Quarterly reporting into FP&A on drivers of variances and any changes happening in the business. Reporting back to the business on P&L performance and working with the business partners to help drive better decision making and performance.

Forecasting and Planning for the business unit and providing general financial input into decision support.

What you will do

• Monthly Regional & Corporate financial reporting including variance analysis/commentary and Forecast walks.
• Engage in business partnership on a cross-functional platform to support company-wide initiatives.
• Support local business initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement, including systems and process enhancements.
• Managing R&O process to be able to advise on potential risks and opportunities to latest forecast.
• Using Financial systems and tools to drill down and understand variances and query with local finance teams.
• Sensitivity and trend analysis to support KPI for the business
• Ownership of maintaining and improving forecasting and planning models and process for particular business P&Ls
• Provide pricing and decision making support for business case reviews
• Ability to work on own initiative and have high attention to detail.

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

• Strong financial background and solid accounting understanding \xe2\x80\x93 general ledger, financial systems, forecasting, financial statement analysis and project analysis
• Intermediate to advance MS Excel skills.
• Ability to analyse large amounts of data from various sources, with complete attention to detail and accuracy.
• Can translate insights into opportunities, interpreting financial data for a business audience and understanding how corporate strategy drives functional goals.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to partner with people at all organisational levels internally and communicate confidently.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset. Take ownership of problems and suggest innovative solutions.
