Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in carrying out and managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations (Including VAT), and providing strategic financial insights with quarterly management accounts. This position requires good mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Keep all customers accounts to date by daily reconciling payments to invoices. Review the monthly customer statement run before sending to clients. Prepare the quarterly VAT reports and submit to HMRC. Manage supplier contracts, to reconcile commodity balances. Assist external accountants with financial audits Willing to undertake more routine and repetitive office duties as part of the team. Help prepare and review bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and correct differences. Dealing with customers and suppliers in a professional and pleasant manner. Train other staff in the best accountancy principles coupled with a willingness to learn form others.

Requirements



A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous. Proven experience in a similar financial administration role, preferably within a senior (experienced) capacity. Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems is desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving.
