Senior Finance ManagerLocation: This role will support both East Kilbride and Morpeth. The successful candidate will be mainly based at the East Kilbride site, with Morpeth visits roughly 1-2 days per month.Contract type: PermanentWhat you become part of:Reporting into the Supply Chain Manufacturing Finance lead, the role will provide support and operational business partnering in respect of Great Britain Business Unit Manufacturing operations teams at our East Kilbride and Morpeth production sites. Key responsibilities include providing analysis, insights and finance support during daily operations, key project planning, implementation, leading the local annual business planning, forecasting and long range planning cycles. Based in East Kilbride, the role will be part of site leadership teams with a dotted reporting line into the East Kilbride & Morpeth Operations Director.What to expect:

• Accountable for xc2xa331m of Manufacturing SC Opex (c15% of GB) and xc2xa369m of ingredients and xc2xa338m of packaging spend. The combined production output of East Kilbride and Morpeth is 36m UC (c7% of GB).
• Business partnering with the two site Manufacturing operations teams, delivering world class support and insight to enable better decision making.
• Due to the need to satisfy multiple business partners and teams, the role requires exceptional levels of time management and prioritisation attributes together with advanced PC skills to deliver the key aspects of the role within the time constraints of the role.
• Summarising and communication of financial information in way that key stakeholders understand and can act on.
• Lead the local Annual Business Planning process, monthly forecasting/working capital and closing reviews to ensure financial risks, opportunities and projects are appropriately reflected for the operations.
• Developing a thorough understanding of Manufacturing operations, enabling the provision of strategic insight and development of long and short range plans.
• Identifying financial risks and supporting development of action planning to prevent risks having an impact on the business, both short and long term.
• Proactively monitoring financial measures, KBIxe2x80x99s, trend analysis and other performance metrics, to identify opportunities to improve the performance of the Manufacturing operation sites.
• Delivering the update, implementation and tracking of efficiency and other improvement projects, including preparing business cases and critically evaluating local project proposals in collaboration with European group teams.
• Monitoring and guiding the Centre of Excellence (CoE) to deliver financial reporting, including benchmarking, to relevant stakeholders. Providing guidance to the CoE in developing and delivering reporting tailored to the customer requirements.
• Tracking and publishing the impact of all spends and major projects to ensure appropriate control is maintained and highlighting the need for any corrective action to management
• Developing and sharing best practice across Supply Chain Finance and wider BU Finance.
• Ensuring financial transactions, policies, systems, and procedures meet the organisation and BUs short and long-term business objectives and comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.

Skills & Essentials

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree/ Masters Degree (in relevant field) required
• A qualified accountant or equivalent

• Sound knowledge of supply chain finance with experience developing strategic initiatives for growth and cost efficiency
• Experience of working in an organisation with outsourced functions
• Must be highly efficient and adaptable to tight deadlines
• Project Management skills
• Advanced IT skills (Excel VBA is an advantage)
• Finance systems knowledge
• Lateral thinker with the ability to solve problems
