Senior Finance Business Partner West Brom/Chippenham Salary \xc2\xa358,000-\xc2\xa369,600per annum - depending on experience Contract type - Permanent Close date - 20 November 2023 About the role You will be responsible for the finance business partnering service delivery to the Leadership and Executive Team members for designated business areas. You will take a lead role for financial support to designated business areas and work as a trusted advisor to key leaders in those areas to drive and improve financial performance You will provide proactive and robust financial leadership for all financial issues in designated business areas, including operational plans, business cases and financial assumptions. You will manage finance business partners to deliver a great business partnering service to designated business areas. You will oversee the production of timely and accurate financial information ensuring this is clearly presented, explained, and effectively used to deliver all financial reporting requirements. You will be building a culture of financial support, scrutiny, and challenge by placing business partnering at the heart of decision making throughout the group. The role will be responsible for ensuring consistent financial support to all colleagues, with a strong reliance placed on the production of forecasts; with positive and adverse variances being clearly understood. About you You must be ACMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with significant relevant experience. You need to have evidence of achievement through effective performance management, service planning and target setting. You need to have highly developed planning and time management skills, to achieve deadlines in a pressurised environment. You must be able to add value, see and implement a better way of doing things, and drive improvements in financial performance. You must be able to interpret and analyse large volumes of data and produce concise analysis and intelligence to inform business decision making. You need to have strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to understand and distil complex financial data to support business decision making. You need to have recent practical experience of budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting. You need to have experience of undertaking and evaluating financial appraisals for new/existing activities or opportunities. You must have knowledge of statutory reporting and of UK and International Financial Reporting Standards. You need to have an understanding of appropriate legislation, tax, risk and best practice.
