Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Event Coordinator to join our Wonderly event operations team.

Reporting into the Senior Event Manager, the SEC is responsible for supporting the delivery of large scale client events. In addition, they will also be responsible for delivery of their own events. The role includes event planning and logistics; budget, venue and supplier liaison and management; abstract management; exhibition and sponsorship support; onsite event delivery and attendee enquiries and support.




Responsibilities:

Event Delivery & Onsite Management:

Oversee and manage client events, including onsite coordination and supplier/staff briefings.

Event Planning & Logistics:

Create and maintain event timelines, manage registration and abstract sites, and handle attendee communications.

Financial Administration:

Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments, and liaise with credit control for outstanding payments.

Vendor & Venue Management:

Research and source venues and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with policies.

Technical Coordination:

Brief AV teams, arrange testing for hybrid events, and build online/hybrid event platforms.

Stakeholder Communication:

Participate in client/supplier meetings, manage event inboxes, and serve as a point of contact for sponsors/exhibitors.

Post-Event Activities:

Collect attendee feedback and manage budget reconciliation.

Sustainability & Compliance:

Adhere to sustainability policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with procurement and industry regulations.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria:
+ Experience of delivering B2B events for a minimum of 2 years + Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience delivering B2B events.
+ Budgeting experience and P&L responsibility are advantageous.
+ Strong experience in venue search and contract negotiation is needed.
+ Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills are essential.
+ Exceptional planning, time management, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously are crucial.
+ A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-oriented approach is required, along with the ability to travel and attend events.
