The Role

You will be primarily responsible for ensuring excellent service is provided to our clients during the construction phases of their projects, applying technical knowledge and expertise within the national policy and legislation guidelines.
What You'll Do
Input and production of the construction phase documents
Oversee compliance on site in conjunction with the client, the delivery of all measures detailed in the Site-Specific Environmental Management Plans and supporting method statements
Site checks for protected and notable species
Investigating and reporting on ecological incidents
Monitoring and advising on, pollution prevention measures
Completion and on occasion reviewing of ECoW logs and reporting
Production and delivery of toolbox talks to the site team and sub-contractors
Liaising with stakeholders, statutory bodies other organisations as and when required
Mentoring and training of junior members of the team
Assist the team lead and Business Manager in the scoping, tendering and management of projects
Have an excellent understanding of health and safety, and biosecurity matters
What We're Looking For
Two to five years' experience as an ecological/environmental consultant with construction site based roles on a variety of different projects
An understanding of water environment regulations, relevant guidance and environmental legislation
Competent in a variety of ecological survey techniques and mitigation design for protected species
Knowledge and practical experience of peat and surface water management on construction sites
Higher Education Certificate, or Degree equivalent in an environmental subject area
Full and valid driving licence
Appropriate professional membership (or ability to obtain this)
Holder of a CSCS card
IT proficiency, particularly within Microsoft applications and project management and planning software
Protected species licenses would be advantageous
Full and valid driving licence
