About the Role:

Liftability is looking for an experienced and motivated

Senior Engineer

to join our growing team. This is a key role based at our office in Hamble, Southampton and working throughout the Hampshire area, responsible for overseeing engineering operations, including fault diagnosis, ordering parts, raising faults and warranties with manufacturers, and scheduling work. You'll also act as the lead engineer that others report to, with support and guidance from our Engineering Director, who brings over 18 years of industry experience.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the role will involve the installation, maintenance, and servicing of stairlifts, domestic vertical lifts, hoists, and other mobility products. You will also support training and development by mentoring engineers on new products and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the senior point of contact for field engineers Order parts, raise warranty issues, and coordinate with manufacturers Schedule and oversee job assignments Install, maintain, and repair mobility equipment, including stairlifts, hoists, and vertical lifts Train and support junior engineers Maintain accurate records of work and reporting Ensure high levels of customer service and communication

Essential Requirements:

Minimum of

5 years' experience

in the Stairlift industry Manufacturer training certificates Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Must be highly competent with computers and software, including Microsoft Outlook (email), Excel, and Microsoft Teams Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence CRB/DBS check clearance Right to work in the UK

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Out-of-hours callout cover on a rota basis
