Job Title: Senior Engineer (Obsolescence)

Salary \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa345,000 dependent on experience
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:
\xc2\xb7 Developing and delivering obsolescence status reports
\xc2\xb7 Co-ordination of obsolescence events from identification through to the successful resolution or mitigation through excellent stakeholder management
\xc2\xb7 Support the development of obsolescence resolutions, in accordance with project or business milestones by establishing the appropriate toolset
\xc2\xb7 Comply with the contractual requirements and undertake work in accordance with company, business unit and contractual processes, standards, procedures and documentation
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the obsolescence processes and data are complete, and will provide the appropriate levels of evidence for assurance, control and contractual purposes
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
\xc2\xb7 An ability to develop good communication skills to work with internal. Supplier and customer stakeholders to provide the required levels of service and guidance regarding obsolescence matters
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of lifecycle management
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge or at least recognition of relevant engineering standards
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge with the context of their work within the overall programme
\xc2\xb7 Understand the need, and have awareness of Product Safety and SHE
Desirable:
\xc2\xb7 Experience using SAP
\xc2\xb7 Experience using MS Office Suite
\xc2\xb7 Degree in related subject, or qualified by experience

The Obsolescence Team:
As the Senior Engineer (Obsolescence) you will joining small team within the Astute programme which is continuing to grow. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple programmes within BAE Systems giving you greater exposure to the company allowing you develop at pace, along with a multitude of training courses available to you to support your own personal progression.
