What you\'ll be doing:

• Enact processes relating to software delivery, assessment and management to provide the appropriate levels of control and evidence to support the assurance of the T26 software build state

• Provide input to the Software Register as a Customer deliverable for all software on T26

• Review the required software deliverables provided to the programme and categorise any observations against their criticality to the programme

• Support discussions on the legislative requirements relating to software deliverables, including software licensing and standard compliance

• Enact software assurance information management processes and procedures

• Support and participate in the validation of software assurance information via audits and reviews when necessary

• Support the availability of necessary evidence that software within T26 systems achieves and sustains the required level of performance in a manner consistent with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Breadth of software engineering knowledge and the tools and processes used

• Good understanding of general software assurance

• Good understanding of software quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, TickIT, etc.)

Desirable:

• Experience of software/systems engineering throughout the life cycle across a diverse range of projects and domains

• Working knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management (SM) practices and toolsets e.g. BMC Remedy and JIRA

• Good understanding of the defence standards (Def. Stan 00-56, Def. Stand 00-55)
