What you\'ll be involved in:

Teledyne Paradise Datacom are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their Team. We are seeking a key individual to join the existing software team engaged in the development of advanced electronics systems for the satellite modems markets.

Product Development is key and as pioneers of satellite modem systems you will be working closely with our engineering team to develop new and exciting technology for the satellite communications sector.

The successful candidate will be acting as a technical lead and developer for an embedded software team working closely within a larger development team. You will also be collaborating closely with operations, Pre-Sales and the customer to develop new product features within existing and new user facing products. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in the scoping, development, and testing of new products and systems.

Main responsibilities for this role will be:

You will provide technical leadership to a small team of software engineers coaching and mentoring throughout end-to-end software development, maintenance, and lifecycle to achieve project goals to the required level of quality.

To generate accurate estimates and define tasks for software product delivery.

Developing low-level embedded software for Linux operating system, Linux kernel development & Linux network programming.

Embedded C and C++ programming for high-performance ARM processors or PowerPC.

What we\'re looking for in you:

Experience programming hardware devices at register level. Interfacing with and understanding FPGA technology, experience of DSP, VHDL or digital electronics.

Knowledge of IP networking protocols, routing, PPP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, iptables and infrastructure is essential.

Good understanding of UART, SPI and I2C hardware interfaces.

Knowledge of PCIe bus protocol.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished Software engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role with the following:
