The Family Service are seeking to recruit a Senior Education Welfare Practitioner. You will be responsible for ensuring Nottingham County Council\'s statutory responsibilities in relation to education enforcement are fulfilled. They will act as the County Council\'s designated officer in Court proceedings where parents are being prosecuted for failing to ensure their child attends school regularly.
You will support and quality assure the delivery of school attendance support by other staff within the Family Service Early Help Case Management teams. You will be expected to maintain an up to date working knowledge and expertise on education enforcement legislation, regulations and Department for Education non-statutory guidance. You will have a minimum of three years post qualification experience of working with children, young people and their families.
