We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Dispenser to join our team in a dynamic pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This position requires a strong background in pharmacy practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to patients.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications to patients in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols. Conduct thorough medication administration reviews to ensure patient safety and adherence to treatment plans. Provide guidance and support to junior dispensers and pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment. Engage with patients to offer advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and health management strategies. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards. Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring stock levels of pharmaceuticals. Participate in training programmes for new staff members on best practices in medication dispensing and patient care.

Requirements

Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser within a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical regulations. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy in dispensing medications. Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are preferred but not mandatory.
