Senior SITS Developer

Duration: 3 Months

Rate: \xc2\xa3450 - \xc2\xa3500 per day (negotiable)

Location: Wrexham, North Wales & remote (hybrid working)

IR35 Status: Outside

Start: ASAP

We require a Senior SITS Developer with previous higher education experience together with a good knowledge of supporting SITS, the interfaces and data feeds to SITS and a variety of other higher education applications too.

You will undertake a variety of maintenance and support activities with the ability to support other colleagues to solve problems.

Duties include but not limited to maintaining existing application services, integrations, interfaces and database management systems

To ensure the availability and integrity of business critical information systems is maintained at all times

You will also provide technical advice and support to junior members of the team and provide some leadership to a small team of 3 of analyst programmers and web developers; to provide technical escalation, coaching and a supportive and enabling environment

Essential skills & experience required:

As the Senior SITS Developer you will possess the following:

Previous experience of working within an IT Applications development and support environment within the higher education sector

Strong technical leadership skills

Expert level in at least one of the following: MS Visual Studio, C#, MS SQL Web Applications, Database applications, Entity Framework, MVC

Experience supporting SITS, its idatabases and integrations

Experience in supporting integrations and data feeds with student administration, student support, admissions and timetabling systems

Skilled in installing and maintaining MS Windows Server based applications

Produce documentation to describe changes to applications, interfaces and integrations and operating procedures

Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SAML and SSO advantageous
