Our Publishing Systems Centre of Excellence are recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager to join them on a permanent basis. In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll report into our Head of Publishing Systems and be part of a team of Application and Product specialists.
Our Publishing Systems CoE forms part of our larger Technology division that are based across our offices in London and Colchester. Our Technology colleagues provide expertise and effective solutions to Penguin Random House UK and integrate flexibility and agility which maintains our consistent way of working. As our Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead the delivery of projects with a focus on cloud and data enablement. You\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate with stakeholders across the Business and within our Technology division to deliver changes that capitalise on cloud capabilities and enhance the capture and management of data to drive business decisions.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Delivery of projects and initiatives with a focus on Cloud and Data Enablement.
Input to the creation of our tactical and strategic roadmap for Publishing Systems, alongside our Head of Publishing Systems, by understanding and acknowledging our overall Technology ecosystem.
Driving the delivery of systems that support the business, whilst ensuring application performance, code quality, data quality and reliability are maintained.
Senior business and technology stakeholder management, with clear communication on project progress as well as how projects contribute to a \xe2\x80\x9cbig picture\xe2\x80\x9d business and technology partnership.
Working with the solution architecture team where required to ensure appropriate architecture and governance.
Working with key partners across Technology to ensure all communications and delivery across the entire Technology landscape remains aligned.
Delivering system and application improvements to agreed cost, quality, and time estimates.
Working with our Change Management and Service Introduction teams to support efficient and effective introduction of systems and developments.
Working with our Test & Release Manager to incorporate a high-quality release practice into project activities.
Implementing, enhancing and actively supporting quality standards throughout the project delivery process.
Developing full scale project plans, including tasks and resource requirements.
Implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
To succeed in this role, you will:
Display leadership skills with a good understanding of the work required of teams both technically and in relation to overall roadmaps.
Have extensive experience as a Senior Manager with a clear understanding of team management.
Have a clear understanding of technical software delivery processes within both Waterfall and Agile environments.
Have experience in a customer-facing role covering application or infrastructure development and delivery.
Be comfortable making and presenting informed strategic decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications and commercial realities.
Have in-depth knowledge of project management and development procedures.
Have great communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, comfortable to engage peers and stakeholders at all levels.
Have experience of building processes and successfully implementing new ways of working.
Have excellent Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, guide and inspire people from project inception to completion.

The exact balance of office to remote working can be discussed with your future manager during the recruitment process. What we can say now is that you won\xe2\x80\x99t need to go into the office five days a week (unless of course you want to!)

Salary: \xc2\xa365,980 - \xc2\xa398,970 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus benefits.
