Senior Data Integration Architect

Purpose of the Position:

As a Data Integration Architect specializing in Snowflake Data Modelling, this role seeks candidates passionate about leveraging their expertise in Snowflake technology. You will play a crucial role in developing data models that help our clients maximize their use of Snowflake.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

1. Snowflake Data Architecture and Modelling:


Design and implement robust Snowflake data architectures and models. Develop and maintain data warehouses and data marts in Snowflake.

2. ETL Process Management:


Design, build, and optimize ETL processes for efficient data integration. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL lifecycle.

3. Performance Optimization and Tuning:


Optimize data models, queries, and data pipelines for performance and efficiency. Implement best practices for performance tuning and resource management in Snowflake.

4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:


Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and delivery.

5. Compliance and Security:


Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Essential Skills:

An experienced Data Architect with a strong background in data modeling and a deep understanding of Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing an optimised data architecture that support end-to-end CGT treatment processes. Candidate should have a strong pharma domain understanding in general. Define and enforce data governance practices to ensure compliance with GxP, GDPR, and other regulatory standards. Establish data lineage, security, and access control frameworks. Snowflake Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices. Hands-on experience with Snowflake data modelling, including Time Travel and Zero-Copy Cloning. Data Warehousing and ETL: Proficiency in designing and maintaining data warehouses and data marts. Strong skills in ETL processes and tools SQL and Scripting: Advanced SQL skills, including Snowflake's SQL dialect. Experience with scripting languages such as Python for data manipulation and automation. Familiarity with DE tools like Fivetran, DBT, Power BI, Astronomer, BitBucket, AWS, Collibra Performance Optimization: Expertise in optimizing data models, queries, and data pipelines for performance and efficiency. Knowledge of performance tuning and resource management techniques in Snowflake. Cloud Computing: Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and their integration with Snowflake. Understanding of cloud-based data storage and processing.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting. Understanding of data governance frameworks and practices. Ability to manage and deliver data integration projects effectively. Experience with DevOps tools and practices for continuous integration and delivery.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in data integration, data warehousing, and Snowflake data modelling. Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related discipline. Relevant Technical certifications that attribute to continuous learning aspirations
