Senior Data Analyst

The role:

As our analytics leader, you will be responsible for:

• Driving the data and insight behind the evolution of our platform and products.
• Shaping the development of our platform through the use of data analytics, data modelling, testing & experimentation
• Working closely with the Senior Leadership team, Product team, Engineers and UX design you will be instrumental in contributing to the delivery of a roadmap that generates value for our customers and our business.
• You will be responsible for defining and validating or invalidating hypotheses about the market, our customers or our systems and bring a scientific way of thinking to the business.
• Supporting our Reporting and Insight Analyst you will help develop best practices for ways of working and ensure they have the opportunity to develop their skills; meeting their personal development goals.

You will have access to a powerful cloud computing stack and AutoTraders team of Data Analysts and Scientists who you will be expected to share knowledge and learn from. You will have access to AutoTrader\xe2\x80\x99s in-house training as well as support and insight from Cox Automtove\xe2\x80\x99s Data team.

You are:

• Familiar with statistical and data science methods that will support scientific decision-making and product evolution.
• Confident and will be able to develop in our cloud data warehouse using SQL.
• Innovative, creating product ideas and spotting opportunities to leverage data to the benefit of customers and the business. Spotting opportunities to Driving conversion in the marketplace to the benefit of our customers
• A strong and clear communicator who is able to build effective relationships, knowing when to share and how best to do that based on the audience.
• Outcome focussed in the execution of experiments, driving product development and platform changes based on a clear understanding of the value they will achieve. Making the \xe2\x80\x9cso what\xe2\x80\x9d clear alongside the data.
• Experienced in using business intelligence tools to create dashboards that enable efficient workflows and promote self-service insight.
• Curious about new technology and how it can be used for the benefit of the business and our customers.

You will:

• Identify opportunities to drive conversion in the marketplace through the removal of friction points and making recommendations on actions that need to be taken and/or product development or enhancements that need to be delivered.
• Support the development of the platform through the use of quantative data analysis so that decisions are data driven.
• Support all users, including the Senior Leadership Team, with ad-hoc deep dive analysis & insight requests.
• Support team members in identifying hypothesis and work to prove or disprove them
• Work with the Reporting and Insight Analyst and Engineers to maintain and develop our various data sources in our existing data-lake
• Coach others, review code and promote data modelling. This will also ensure best practices are used in the SQL coding that power the business Tableau Environment.

We have a hybrid working model, with flexibility built around days in the office in Manchester as well as working from home. Enabling us to collaborate, learn from each other and focus as needed.
