The Opportunity:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our clients organization against cybersecurity threats. Your responsibilities will encompass driving incident investigations, designing and implementing security solutions, creating comprehensive documentation, and actively collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish a proactive security culture.

This role would suit an experienced CyberSec Engineer who is comfortable working individually for now but has the ambition to slowly grow and lead a wider team in future as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident Response Leadership: Take the lead in handling cybersecurity incident investigations, ensuring a swift and effective response to potential threats.
• Security Solution Design: Lead the design, planning, and deployment of cybersecurity protection solutions and system security plans to fortify our defenses.
• Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and plans, and occasionally conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the expertise of our engineering team and raise security awareness.
• Security Technology Implementation: Spearhead the implementation of security technologies such as EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), access and application control, and privilege management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with colleagues and various departments to foster a proactive security culture, mitigating system vulnerabilities, and safeguarding our company and services.
• Endpoint Security: Provide complex technical solutions and implement endpoint security measures to meet industry standards while ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Proactive Vulnerability Management: Prepare systems to withstand potential security attacks, promptly identifying and rectifying vulnerabilities.
• Monitoring and Observability: Deliver top-notch monitoring and observability solutions, including intrusion detection, to maintain a resilient security posture.
• Security Audits and Testing: Assist with Information Security questionnaires, due diligence, security audits, and internal/external penetration testing.
• Stay Current: Stay abreast of the latest network and cybersecurity best practices, threat modeling, and risk mitigation techniques.
• Network Diagrams: Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and create high and low-level network diagrams.

Required Skills & Tech Stack:

• Proficiency in AWS infrastructure setup and maintenance, including WAF, Cognito, IAM, KMS, Secret Manager, VPC, etc.
• Experience in infrastructure network configuration and security, including managing secrets.
• Strong Linux administrative skills.
• Sound understanding of cyber security architecture and infrastructure setup.
• Current knowledge of cybersecurity threats, best practices, threat modeling, and risk mitigation techniques.
• Competence in networking and IP networks.
• Experience following change control processes.
• Detailed knowledge of network security technologies, including VPN, WAF, LAN, Firewall, Web Proxy, Zero Trust, Network Access Control, and Intrusion Management.
