East Sussex County Council, IT & Digital Project Delivery Team have vacancy for a IT Senior Consultant, of which a full time, part time, or a term time contract will be considered.

As an IT Senior Consultant, you can make a real difference in delivering changes within the IT environment that support the council in the ways we work.

We are looking for an experienced senior technician, who will manage a small team of technicians who are responsible for supporting the delivery of IT projects related to change initiatives across the Authority, using internal staff, contractors, and third-party suppliers.

Working with our IT project managers, and other key stakeholders, you will support the develop and delivery of IT projects across the Authority, while being responsible for the day-to-day management of a small team of technicians, ensuring work is completed to agreed cost, time and quality criteria.

We are looking for an experienced senior technician who:

\xc2\xb7 Has knowledge of desktop technologies and its support.

\xc2\xb7 Has knowledge of network technologies and telephony.

\xc2\xb7 Have a wide experience of IT peripherals.

\xc2\xb7 Able to work as an individual contributor and as a good team player.

\xc2\xb7 Is able to manage a small team of technicians.

\xc2\xb7 Has experience of writing outline technical descriptions of IT requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Has good communication, engagement, and organisational skills.

\xc2\xb7 And present a credibility to the post.

The post requires a wide breadth of IT knowledge to support project managers within the team and deliver effective changes within the IT environment, through individual contribution and teamwork.

East Sussex County Council, Brighton & Hove City Council, and Surrey County Council collaborate on several business services and therefore the successful post-holder needs to be flexible in terms of working across these organisations as project demands arise.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency\'s Points-based Immigration System.
