We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Company Secretariat Assistant to join as part of the UK Corporate Governance Office.


You'll be part of a specialist team providing high quality governance advice and support to Santander UK boards and committees ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and governance best practice throughout the Santander UK group.

The difference you'll make:



Assisting with running the Board Audit Committee, Disclosure Committee, Results Committee and Economic Crime Committee this will include preparation for meetings, taking minutes and distributing actions Taking responsibility for your own portfolio of subsidiary legal entities Contributing to the annual report and financial statements Adhering to statutory compliance and governance best practice, internal governance requirements and considering new business and legislative developments/projects

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:



Company secretarial experience preferably in a listed or financial service company Highly developed stakeholder management skills with experience of direct interaction with senior stakeholders (at Chairman/non-Executive Director, Senior Executive level)

It would also be nice for you to have:



Minute writing skills and some knowledge of sections of Companies Act 2006 would be useful Working towards or interested in qualifying under the Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent Experience in assisting with running Board Committees Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines

This permanent role is based in Unity Place - Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
