Role Purpose...
Help us \'Create the Future\' (one of Vodafone\'s key Spirit behaviours) as we build and launch our first global Developer Marketplace for software developers. We are scaling up a new team that is designing and building a new digital channel which will engage with a new and until now underserved customer - the developer.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join an empowered team which operates as an agile start-up, whilst equally benefiting from the scale and recognition of a global brand. We are looking for a disruptor who is ready to change the way our business operates and who will help shape the set-up of our new Developer Marketplace channel.
The Commercial Portfolio team is responsible for the commercial and operational performance of the API products Vodafone offers to the developer community via the marketplace.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Operations Manager who will lead the commercial operations tasks for DMP. This includes helping to shape the marketplace API product portfolio, tracking sales, overseeing the operational performance of the portal, as well as providing leadership and advice to API product owners and Sales in readiness for publishing on DMP.
You will work across the full breadth of the VBG product and service portfolio, working initially with product managers from the mobile, fixed, UC, edge, cloud and IoT portfolios. You will help to gauge commercial and technical readiness for publishing API products in the marketplace, and you will provide operational recommendations to ensure our investment in API products delivers the right ROI across our products and services.

NB: the role does not involve commercial bids or contracting activities, or P&L accountabilities.

With us you will...
- Oversee DMP product sales and usage analytics, and lead portal performance monitoring work
- Collaborate with Group and OpCo product owners in DMP product roadmap discussions; review API product categories in terms of i) commercial potential, ii) technology and technical content readiness, iii) funding situation
- Provide stakeholders with commercial leadership and direction on API pricing and charging model options
- Work with DMP strategy team to identify and implement DMP operational efficiencies
- Benchmark DMP API product portfolio with competing marketplace portfolios and make recommendations to close gaps
- Participate in discussions with partners, e.g., 3rd party API providers, other API marketplaces, industry forums
- Keep abreast of API industry trends to identify areas of best practice and opportunities for commercial and operational improvements

It would be nice if you have...
- Commercially astute, with some experience in sales and pricing strategy
- Comfortable working with analytics and creating insights
- Ability to process complex issues, problem solve and communicate with clarity
- Be a great collaborator and ability to lead initiatives across key internal teams (product, technical, partnerships, legal, finance)
- Curiosity around digital and comfortable challenging the status quo
