We are looking to recruit a Senior College Services Advisor to join our team The role is based at Kaplan International College London, a vibrant university pathways college where students from more than 80 countries come to prepare for entry onto undergraduate or postgraduate courses at one of our 7 prestigious university partners. Extensively refurbished in 2018, our college is located next to Borough Market, two minutes from London Bridge station, offering fantastic views across the Thames to the City of London. The Role
As a Senior College Services Advisor within the team, you will be responsible for supporting the aims of the College Services team, by providing oversight and leading or supporting the day-to-day functions of the team to ensure excellent service, student support, and the effective and efficient administration of all processes and procedures.
The College Services team plays a vital role covering all aspects of the student life cycle, from pre-arrival to progression to university. The team provides support across a range of areas, including student wellbeing, academic and quality assurance, student progression, compliance, and administration.
As a Senior College Services Advisor you will lead or support activity related to the following, with an initial focus primarily on Student Wellbeing, Student Welfare and Student Support:
Provide excellent customer service in a student facing environment.
Deal with student enquiries by providing a flexible, personalised and inclusive approach.
Maintain accurate information on the student management system.
Organise and support pre-arrival, arrivals, registration and welcome events.
Lead in the maintenance, development and quality assurance of student-facing content.
Develop and deliver extra-curricular activities.
Provide administrative support across the team\xe2\x80\x99s functions, and oversee the administration of the wider team in agreed areas.
Support students in relation to wellbeing and safeguarding.
Assist compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Have a flexible approach to work, for example some out of hours work may be required during busy periods.
Work with the College team to continuously improve the student experience.
Any other duties as required by the College Management Team.
Candidate profile
Ability to deliver excellent customer service skills yourself, and ideally encourage this in others.
High level of verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interest in working in education and in particular with international students.
Experience in supporting the wellbeing and safeguarding of international students.
Confident with IT, in particular Microsoft Excel (ideally with an ability to work with formulae, VLOOKUP and pivot tables).
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Willingness to work flexibly.
Experience of working as part of a team to achieve goals, ideally with some experience of having led activities or teams.
Attention to detail and demonstrable understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
Ability to take initiative.
