Responsible providing essential technology to 10,000 healthcare organisations across all major UK health sectors, we are looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer to join our supportive hosted infrastructure team.
Now is a really exciting time to join EMIS, as you will be involved in working with the next generation of health technology applications that we are developing in the cloud. We will look to you to play an integral driving role in the deployment of infrastructure into cloud technologies, specifically AWS using Terraform.
What you\'ll do:
As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, we will be looking for you to take initiative and be involved with the successful growth of our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and act as a key figure for this transformation. You will be responsible for the stability, security and availability of our hosted servers within a cloud environment through the creation, deployment and management of cloud hosted pipelines and platforms built using Terraform and wrapped in Terragrunt.
Within this role, you will be the point of contact for the Platforms team to ensure maintenance and support of the AWS cloud platform and the expansion of our IaC estate. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skill set and share knowledge with the wider team on cloud technologies.
This Senior CloudOps Engineer role is a mainly home working position; the team meet once a month in the Leeds office for collaboration days. This role has occasional planned and paid out of hours and on call responsibilities.
We\'re looking for collaborators who will work proactively with fin ops, development, and engineering teams to provide cloud support and improve existing solutions in the most cost-efficient manner whilst never compromising on best practice, coding standards, and high-quality documentation.
