Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join an ambitious and growing consultancy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with expertise in civil engineering design and project coordination to develop their career, with clear pathways to management roles.
This position offers the chance to work on high-profile projects exceeding 3100 million in value, alongside a multi-disciplinary team delivering design, procurement, coordination, and project management services across the entire project lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:
xc2xb7Collaborate within project teams to deliver innovative solutions.
xc2xb7Interface with disciplines such as architecture, building services engineering, project management, and cost management.
xc2xb7Represent the consultancy at client and project meetings to present designs.
xc2xb7Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), drainage strategies, and pre-planning advice.
xc2xb7Serve as a primary client interface, conducting site visits for technical assessments and problem-solving.
What You Bring to the Role
To succeed, you will need:
xc2xb7Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-disciplinary environment.
xc2xb7Membership (or a strong desire to gain membership) of the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) or an equivalent professional body.
xc2xb7In-depth knowledge of Section 38, 278, and 104 agreements.
xc2xb7Proficiency in AutoCAD, particularly Civil 3D.
xc2xb7Expertise in drainage design, SUDS, highways, and cut-and-fill analysis.
xc2xb7Strong design experience, demonstrated through past projects.
xc2xb7Familiarity with drainage design (foul and surface water), minor roadway design, and relevant agreements under the Highways Act and Water Industry Act.
xc2xb7Working knowledge of Part H and M of Building Regulations, British Standards, and local authority requirements.
