Senior Citrix Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Outside IR 35

Company overview:

A leading financial service is seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer who has strong capabilities AppSense, XenApp, and XenDesktop as our client looks to manage & maintain a Windows Citrix-based Cloud Hosting Infrastructure reporting to the Director of IT operations. The chosen candidate will be provisioning the virtual server infrastructure & compute resources based on customer requirements and Ensure SLAs for uptime are met. Additionally, you will provide end-user support and problem resolution acting as Lead Technician for an ongoing thin client service improvement project. This is an outside IR 35 contract paying between \xc2\xa3375 to \xc2\xa3425 outside IR35 for a 3-month rolling contract.

The roles require managing the Citrix gold image, morning health checks, troubleshooting end-user issues, project tasks and SIP\'s. The engineer must coordinate with the application support engineer in testing applications on maintenance images for smooth live deployment. The role holder will also be responsible for integrating virtualized and packaged applications in Citrix gold image. The role is end-user facing and must work closely with end-users on issue resolution and manage tickets queue.

Core responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Citrix farm ver 7.15, PVS gold image, WEM and Sharefile.
• Handle all Citrix infrastructure-related technical issues incidents and fulfil service requests.
• Maintain tickets SLA and ensure ITIL compliance for all incidents and requests.
• Perform capacity analysis incident reviews and implement service improvement plans.
• Troubleshoot and support business application deployments.
• Work on knowledge acquisition and prepare related knowledge documents.
• Automate tasks through Power shell and other scripting tools.
• Troubleshoot / redirect problems to appropriate resources, identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention and track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
• Work on problem resolution, identifying the root causes, and preventive maintenance.
• Document procedures, policies, and how-to documents to increase efficiency and meet the needs of the business.
• Execute change management processes following company standards.

Essential:

• 5+ years of experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure is essential.
• 4+ Years of previous experience in supporting Citrix XenApp, App Sense, App V, XenDesktop, PVS and Citrix WEM
• 4+ Years of experience in Windows platform and Profile management solutions.
• Troubleshooting experience on Citrix XenApp, App Sense, App V, XenDesktop, PVS and Citrix WEM
• Excellent knowledge of Citrix Migration and application deployment in the Citrix environment.
• Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting applications on Windows Server 2012 and 2016 platforms

Desirable:

• Troubleshooting experience on Citrix XenApp, App Sense, App V, XenDesktop, PVS and Citrix WEM
• Excellent knowledge of Citrix Migration and application deployment in the Citrix environment.
• Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting applications on Windows Server 2012 and 2016 platforms
