Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior carer to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those in assisted living or nursing home settings. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalised care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences. Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Administer first aid as required and ensure a safe environment for clients. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental stimulation. Support behaviour management strategies as needed to ensure a positive experience for clients.

Skills

Experience in senior care or working within nursing homes is highly desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. Ability to develop and follow care plans effectively. Proficient in first aid techniques and emergency response procedures. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Capability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining client dignity. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
