We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home situated in the village of Holt, Wrexham. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supervising care staff, implementing care plans, and ensuring that the needs of our residents are met with dignity and respect.
We have vacancies for day or night shifts available, shifts are 12 hours 7:45am to 8pm or 7:45pm to 8am. various hours available worked between Monday and Sunday with alternate weekends off.
Duties (This is not an exhaustive list of duties)
Supervise , support and organise care staff in your team to deliver exceptional care to residents.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Drive initiatives that promote a safe and welcoming environment within the care home.
Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, obtaining medical help if needed and reporting any changes to senior management promptly.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any incidents that occur during shifts.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards.
Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising a team preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of IT systems related to care management is advantageous.
A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Ability to drive is preferred but not essential
