We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team.
In this role, you will coordinate and provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist patients with their daily activities, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills, contributing positively to the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support patients in mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
Help with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following hygiene protocols.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
Assist in the administration of medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills.
Work with people, their families and carers to improve their understanding of the Residents' conditions.
Contribure towards the review personalised care and support plans to support each Residents needs and achieve better healthcare outcomes.
Support the coordination and delivery of every Residents Care and Support.
Support practices to keep care records up-to-date by identifying and updating missing or out-of-date information about the person's circumstances.
Contribute to risk and impact assessments, monitoring and evaluations of the service.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is essential, and you must hold a QCF Level 2.
A genuine passion for helping others and a strong commitment to patient care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a healthcare setting is advantageous.
