Reporting to the Head of Capture, you will take the lead in shaping capture strategies and business solutions, guiding pursuits from initial opportunity identification through to successful transition and contract performance. You'll also play a central role in aligning proposals with customer needs and our wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of tailored capture strategies, ensuring alignment with both customer requirements and organisational objectives.
Oversee the full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification and competitor analysis to bid development and contract transition.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Business Development, Programme Delivery and Engineering teams to craft compelling and compliant solutions.
Champion the capture effort at internal and external reviews, including Pink, Blue, Red, Gold and Black-Hat reviews.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, including BD Policy (CPS 009), Quality Policy, and Ampthill BD and Capture processes.
Maintain alignment with broader Lockheed Martin UK, MFC, Space and LM BD strategies.
Manage assigned captures to approved financial plans and ensure appropriate forecasting and resourcing.
Drive through-life design considerations for seamless programme delivery post-capture.
Provide strategic input into business planning and support the development of long-term growth initiatives.
Act as a subject matter expert across the organisation, offering guidance to ensure successful execution of capture activities.
Enhance probability of win (PWin) through data-driven, disciplined capture execution.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
Extensive experience managing capture activities for programmes valued at over 5 million.
Proven success in delivering capture strategies within military and commercial technology environments.
Track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and risk assessments.
Familiarity with Business Winning processes, including Colour Reviews, Position to Win (PWin), and Competitive Assessments.
Demonstrated ability to lead integrated teams across software, hardware, and support domains.
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Confident presenter with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including customers and senior leadership.
Experience working with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and UK Government procurement agencies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as VISIO, MS Project or Primavera P5.
Desirable Skills
Experience managing capture and programme delivery for initiatives exceeding 10 million.
Familiarity with the MOD's AWARD tool and techniques to maximise response compliance and MEAT (Most Economically Advantageous Tender) scoring.
Background in Defence engineering.
Experience engaging with export customers and international capture efforts.
Development and execution of effective teaming strategies.
Successful capture delivery involving critical team-mates and partnership negotiations.
