Role Overview

Business Analyst required to work across multiple projects to identify opportunities to improve business and IT processes. Working for a project manager leading the business analysis phase and supporting the design and delivery of software changes and handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Agile project methodology
• Enagage with business SMEs to understand and define s and carry out requirement gathering workshops to capture detailed business requirements
• Work with business SMEs to identify and validate the key business requirements.
• Interpret business requirements into requirement specfications. Create Requirement Traceability Matrix to ensure all requirements are considered in solution and appropriate test strategy is defined for each requirement.
• Engage with project leads to ensure that the defined requirements are understood, are accurately documented and fully meet the solution requirements of the project.
• Create interface catalogue so all related applications / capabilities are considered in the scope of the solution.
• Carry out data analysis to map out any changes to the data model
• Work with cross-functional business teams to re-engineer business processes and , being able to map process flows
• Working with IT, evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements.
• Create functional requirements in /stories
• Coordinate requirements walk-through and , verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs.
• Contribute to project planning activities
• Lead and facilitate structured workshops with stakeholders and end users to identify and prioritise requirements.
• Experience liaising with stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate these for other members of the development team.
• Translate business and functional requirements into a comprehensive solution and user stories.
• Identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work alongside testing team to ensure that all software components are tested adequately and participates in Quality Assurance/UAT.
• Manages requirements risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues and devising methods to mitigate them.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of working as a business analysis in a large manufacturing environment

\xc2\xb7 Ability to take a holistic view across the order to delivery landscape

\xc2\xb7 Good interpersonal skills with differing levels within the organisation

\xc2\xb7 Be able to contribute to end to end project lifecycle

\xc2\xb7 Ability to document ideas, requirements, potential solutions and associated issues, including requirement capture, requirement management, maturity, and traceability

\xc2\xb7 Able to document Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, Interface documentation, systems diagrams, touch point, system process documents

\xc2\xb7 Able to understand and document technical discussion and responses of ideas and solutions in a cohesive user friendly manner

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of working with different software methodologies

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of systems concepts, modelling techniques and methods

\xc2\xb7 Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

\xc2\xb7 Ability to produce clear and concise documentation suitable for technical and non-technical audiences

\xc2\xb7 Experience of outsourced and offshore IT delivery model
