Job Description

A long term contract requirement has arisen for a Senior Bridge Technician to assist with the preparation of technical solutions to engineering problem. This will involve BIM management and developing REVIT 3D modelling and CAD drawings using AutoCAD for projects, and directing junior Technicians. This position falls inside IR35 and would be required to be in Birmingham 1-2 days per week.

Tasks/Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7Undertake services within an engineering environment which may include (but not limited to); scheme investigation, site and structure inspections, data collection and analysis, preparing reports, identification of repair options, preparing specifications and drawings for repair schemes, works/construction inspection and supervision to progress scheme design, development and construction.
\xc2\xb7Prepare drawings, documents and use specialist software such as REVIT 3D and AUTOCAD. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians.
\xc2\xb7Communicate with Engineers and managers in the business in relation to timescales and progress.
\xc2\xb7Be a proactive and collaborative team member, work closely with colleagues and fit seamlessly into a delivery team.
\xc2\xb7Be flexible and proactive and liaise with other teams from other engineering disciplines.
\xc2\xb7Develop knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental in the workplace, ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety and Environmental responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Typical Skills/Experience

\xc2\xb7Experience in BIM management and BEP.
\xc2\xb7Experience of relevant design software and standards and proficient in the production of engineering drawings using AutoCAD, REVIT, CADS RC.
\xc2\xb7Experience in ProjectWise.
\xc2\xb7Experience in the field of structures or structural maintenance.
\xc2\xb7Other related vocational experience desirable.
\xc2\xb7Fluent spoken and written English. IT Literate.
\xc2\xb7A team worker with good organisational, interpersonal and numerate skills.
\xc2\xb7Able to work under own initiative and to seek advice when necessary.
\xc2\xb7A current UK FULL driving license is essential for the role as site visits will be required.
