The team
Our Audience teams bring the voice of our audiences into the heart of our business.
They make sure our viewers and users play a part in every decision we make, as they put the ITV Way to work to build brand new relationships that go much further than just TV.
Working right across ITV, they\'re the people behind our forecasts about the future strategy for television. It\'s about helping every part of our business better understand who our customers are, and what they want. Which means their influence reaches from strategy, to commercial, studios, commissioning, scheduling, brand, ITVX, online, distribution and more.
The role
This role will become a Partnerships and Distribution (P&D) data and BI expert on partner platforms, working closely with Data domains, Commercial, Streaming (AVOD/SVOD), Audiences and Finance business partners. This includes being a subject matter expert on the platform and device impacts of marketing, commercial advertising delivery, audience behaviours and engagement, financial/insights reporting, partner\xe2\x80\x99s strategic priorities in the UK market, and apps and initiatives by competitors (other PSBs, broadcasters and streamers). The Senior Audiences Executive will support day-to-day activities in P&D.
Key elements of the role include:
To provide internal stakeholders with intelligent, creative and inspirational consumer research and insight, to inform decision-making and ensure the success of ITV\xe2\x80\x99s distribution strategy.
P&D lead on ITV\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Dashboard improvements/usability
Platform growth reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) to P&D leadership, P&D Quarterly All-Hands and partner QBR Decks
Develop and maintain the Yield per Home KPI
Work with the Head of Market & Regulatory Analysis to develop and maintain a platform viewing model.
Develop models and thinking for Strategic projects and Budgets
To help enable the transition to a source-agnostic insight team, using classic market research techniques alongside first party data analysis equally, to create a holistic view of performance.
To work in partnership with other members of the ITV Audiences department to provide insight on consumer behaviours, and wider trends, with particular focus on changing viewing habits.
Skills you\xe2\x80\x99ll need (minimum criteria)
Highly data literate and strong quants skills (advanced Sheets/Excel) with basic mathematical modelling - to be assessed as part of the selection process
Degree level education or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years experience in a data / research related role, preferably in Technology, Media or Telecommunications industries
Strong presentation creation skills (Slides/Powerpoint)
The ability to apply research results to a problem and build a narrative using a variety of data sources.
Other things we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for (key criteria)
Media expertise in commercial/distribution/research
A strong interest in digital media, the internet and TV & Video industry and an understanding of the major industry trends, and a point of view on them. In particular ITV\xe2\x80\x99s own TV content and digital products and services.
A working knowledge of some of the following media research techniques and tools: BARB, TGI, Techedge, IPA Touchpoints and YouGov Profiles
Basic skills in SQL and/or Python would be an advantage.
An understanding of the competitive frame, in which ITV operates including the main VOD services and their business models and the UK TV Distribution Platform landscape .
Intuitive understanding of research solutions with a creative approach to problem solving
Ability to produce high quality written materials and deliver strong written and verbal presentations. The ability to visualise and chart data to communicate insight most succinctly.
