How will you make an impact in this role?





As a Senior Associate Product Designer you will report to the Director of International Acquisition Product Design, you'll be joining our dedicated Design team in London, responsible for enabling product teams to produce consistent, accessible and delightful user experiences efficiently.



The role entails creating user-centered experiences and interfaces for products and solutions which improves end-to-end user journeys. Develops the overall design and specifications for creating and enhancing the experience and functionality of user interfaces for company products.



Uses design tools to create storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, information architecture diagrams and user journey maps for demonstrations and user testing. Produces high-fidelity designs for implementation by development teams. Analyse user research, business insights and other data to continuously improve customer experiences.



Reviews proposed product changes or enhancements for compliance and alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards and suggests improvements. Creates and maintains UI/UX resources such as content templates, samples and guidelines, to streamline the design process for designers and developers.



As a designer on the team you:


Ensure visually appealing and usable user interfaces by delivering artefacts such as wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specifications. Develops understanding and empathy for users through user-centered methodologies, external analysis, research, and data. Presents design decisions to peers and partners with minimal support from senior colleagues. Understands American Express design process, design systems and UX patterns. Collaborates closely with product managers, engineers and design leads to understand and deliver against project requirements. Participates in design community. Leverages design tools to efficiently deliver artefacts

Minimum Qualifications:




Has at least 2 years of hands-on experience in or with a product design organization. Is proficient in Figma. Demonstrates an understanding of user-centered design methodologies, research and processes. Shares solutions to problem-solving initiatives in an engaging way. Is a proactive and energetic communicator, with an attention to detail Desired Skills: + Able to design for adaptive devices, basically designing for web (desktop, tablets), mobile responsive.
+ Have built experiences on a global level, more than one market, same experience with market nuances.
+ Figma variables, components, design systems, flows, prototyping.
+ Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory, legal and accessible designs at an international level.
+ Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in how online shopping and application experiences work
