We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Senior Assistant Accountant

to support our Dealership Accountant in managing the day-to-day financial operations of our busy and well-established dealerships - North Oxford Garage and Wollaston Motors.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes Support with the preparation of management accounts Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records Assist in processing journals, accruals, and prepayments Oversee daily bank reconciliations and cashbook management Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Provide support during audits and help implement process improvements

The Ideal Candidate:

Part-qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience - we are happy to support you with your continued study requirements. Previous experience in an accounting or finance role (automotive industry experience is an advantage) Strong Excel skills and familiarity with management systems (e.g., Kerridge/CDK) Excellent attention to detail and time management A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
