The Senior Area Education Manager will be responsible and accountable for the overall successful delivery of our Adult Education Budget (AEB) contracts.

Reporting to the Head of Region, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of the GLA contract within agreed budget and timelines. Working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including MCA\'s, local authorities, DWP, community organisations, employers and trade unions you will seek to maintain and develop new and existing partnerships.
Within the position, you will be responsible for the management of the area plan and budget for the designated area(s), ensuring education provision is organised in line with agreed targets. As a Senior Area Education Manager, you will manage a team of colleagues, motivating and developing the team in line with WEA\'s commitment to Investors in People and policies.

As a Senior Area Education Manager, you should have:
- Strong experience of managing and allocating resources across a number of complex strategic and/or educational projects;
- The ability of managing and resolving conflict, inter-dependencies, competing priorities, risks and issues;
- Experience in gathering and understanding business objectives and requirements and translating those in to appropriate programmes of work;
- Excellent communications skills including presentations and report writing
- The ability to work in ambiguous and/or emergent environments, responding to change and new situations;
- A strong team work ethic. We like to collaborate and support each other;
- A passion for adult education, and making a difference!
