Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial management and accounting practices, with a strong proficiency in various accounting software including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks. This role involves overseeing financial accounting processes, managing accounts payable, and providing mentorship to junior staff members. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organisation.

Duties



Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accountants, fostering their professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and PeopleSoft. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration within teams. Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is advantageous.

Pay: 45,000.00-60,000.00 per year
