We are looking to recruit an experienced, hard-working individual with a career background in the accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with exceptional organisational skills, who is able to work independently and use their initiative.
About this role
This is a role for someone who wants to work with care, autonomy and ambitions, without burning out.
In this role your overall responsibility will be working independently on the completion of Accounts and Tax Returns for a wide range of client types and structures, ready for a manager review. You will need to ensure deadlines and proper accounting standards are met.
Responsibilities
Accounts Preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders, LLP's and Partnerships
Tax computations & Tax Returns
Overseeing weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Preparing and submitting VAT returns, payroll
Assisting clients with the maintenance of their digital accounting records
Handle day to day enquiries and queries from clients
Drafting correspondence for clients, liaising with HMRC
Dividend paperwork for clients
Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical and regulatory requirements, including AML checks
Requirements
ACCA / QBE or equivalent with strong UK practice experience
At least 3 years of experience in a practice environment
Strong organisational skills are essential with a methodical approach to work
Experience with accounting software: Tax Calc, Iris, Xero
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Technically able and capable of dealing with multiple tasks
The ability to self-manage and work autonomously is a must
Excellent attention to detail
