SEND Teaching Assistant in North Manchester

Milk Education are partnering with a community Primary school in the M8 area of North Manchester who are looking for an SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with ASD in a Year 1 class. The school has sensory room and an outdoor learning area for outdoor learning.

As the Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a child with ASD and catering for all of their individual needs. The child has an education healthcare plan which has been implement successfully and the school are looking for this to be continued and help support the child with their learning and interaction in the classroom. There is no challenging behaviour with the child.

Key Responsibilities in SEND Teaching Assistant role:

• You will be working in a KS1 class, previous SEN experience required in either a Nursery, school, social care, or similar setting or completed a placement.
• Work closely with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistant to provide a safe environment and engaging lesson.

PLEASE NOTE \xe2\x80\x93 candidates without a qualification but with extensive experience (paid or voluntary) are also welcomed to apply, also if you have any personal experience with SEN with family/friends or different work setting, please get in touch.
