Job descriptionSEN Teaching Assistant Preston:Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a school in Preston. You will be supporting children with complex needs on a 1-1 basis and in small groups.The Role:

  • Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
  • Preparing learning resources and activities
  • Building rapport with pupils, parents and staff
  • Maintaining regular communication with the teacher and external agencies to ensure Education and Health Care plans are updated
Position Details:
  • Location: Preston
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: xc2xa3100 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: 03/03/2025
  • End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification is essential
  • Previous experience supporting SEN, in particular Autism
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
