Semi Senior Accountant - Sheffield

24,000 - 26,000 | Full-time | Office-based

A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join its growing team.

This role offers the chance to work closely with a diverse client base across a range of industries, supporting them with year-end accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, and general advisory work. The position is ideal for someone progressing through their AAT, ACCA or ACA qualifications, or for someone qualified by experience looking for a new challenge in a supportive and professional environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships Drafting corporation and personal tax computations Preparing and submitting VAT returns Supporting clients with bookkeeping and general queries Collaborating with senior team members on client work and project delivery Keeping up to date with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations

The successful candidate will have:

Experience working in a UK accountancy practice Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail Good communication skills and confidence working directly with clients A proactive approach to managing deadlines and workload Working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
This is a full-time, office-based role with a firm that values development and internal progression. Study support is available for those working towards professional qualifications, and ongoing training is provided for all staff.

Pay: 24,000.00-26,000.00 per year
