Start Date: ASAP About the School: Our client, a leading provider of education and care for children and young people in Sutton-in-Ashfield, are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their Ofsted-rated \'Good\' school on a permanent contract. The school is dedicated to supporting students with a primary need of SEMH aged between 11 to 18 years old. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher to join our team in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who require additional support with their social, emotional, and mental well-being. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH requirements.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
• Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to both students and parents or guardians.
• Work closely with external agencies and professionals to support the holistic development of students.
• Foster positive relationships with students, establishing trust and promoting their social and emotional growth.

Requirements:

• QTS/QTLS or possess a Certificate in Education
• Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support students effectively.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
