Are you an experienced animal care professional looking for a flexible, rewarding role? We're a growing, trusted pet services business offering everything from dog walking and pet visits to house sitting - and now branching into training and grooming services, too! We're proud to be a one-stop-shop for pet care, and we're looking for someone who shares our vision and love for animals.
About the Role:
We're currently expanding and looking for a
self-employed house sitter
to take on bookings that our existing team can't cover. House sitting is especially busy between April and September, but we receive year-round bookings including autumn and winter. The role starts with house sitting but can grow to include regular walks and visits once your client base builds.
What We're Looking For:
Professional animal care experience
(not just personal pet ownership)
A passion for providing excellent care and forming lasting bonds with pets and clients
Someone committed to growing a career in pet care - or looking to supplement an existing remote job with meaningful, flexible work
Must be
area-specific
and available for bookings as they arise
Must hold a full UK driving licence and have their own car
- this is essential to travel to client homes reliably
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care to pets in their own homes while owners are away
Follow detailed care instructions, feeding schedules, medication routines, and other special requirements
Offer companionship, exercise, and enrichment activities suited to each pet's needs
Ensure the home is kept tidy, safe, and secure during house sits
Provide regular updates to pet owners with photos and written summaries
Manage your own schedule and availability with professionalism and flexibility
Maintain confidentiality and respect clients' homes and privacy
Alert the business and/or pet owners to any concerns regarding pets' health or behaviour promptly
Requirements:
Current
DBS check
Pet sitting and dog walking diploma
(or willingness to complete one)
Pet first aid certification
(or willingness to complete the course)
Own
public liability insurance
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
What You'll Get:
Flexible working with a loyal and growing client base
Opportunities to take on regular pet visits and walks as your availability increases
Long-term client relationships with repeat bookings
A supportive and experienced team to help you grow
Potential to move into other services as we expand.
If you're reliable, animal-loving, and excited to build a future in pet care, we'd love to hear from you!
