Talking Numbers Accountancy & Bookkeeping is looking for a self-employed, freelance bookkeeper with experience dealing with financial records. We are looking to expand our team, and are keen to offer opportunities to candidates who are interested in freelance work. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial records using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
• Prepare financial records to trial balance stage
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Candidates without experience but with the right qualifications will be considered.
• Proficient in Excel
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage and Quickbooks.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping & accounting principles and practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Other information

• The successful candidate should be comfortable working from home and will be able to chose their own hours.
• Work assignments will consist of receiving client records electronically, in person or by post, and processing the records in line with purchase orders to agreed deadlines.
• You will be able to refuse work if you do not have capacity, but you are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours or fees each week or month.
• All assignments will be for a fixed fee, agreed in advance, based on hourly rates starting from \xc2\xa320.00 per hour.
• You will not be required to hold your own professional indemnity (PI) insurance
• You will not have any direct contact with clients and as such, you will not require to be supervised for the purposes of the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations.
• You will be required to review and sign a subcontractor agreement and undergo identity verification checks.

Although this job is remote, we would prefer freelancers located in Glasgow and Central Scotland. Job Types: Part-time, Freelance Salary: From \xc2\xa320.00 per hour Benefits:
