The role

Skills and Duties will include but are not limited to are;

• Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated team of security professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Security Operations: Manage and optimize all aspects of airport security, including passenger screening, baggage inspection, access control, and emergency response procedures.

• Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all aviation security regulations, standards, and best practices, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct ongoing threat assessments and risk analyses to proactively identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with airport authorities, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate security efforts and respond effectively to emerging security challenges.

What will make you successful in the role?

We are seeking a Security Team Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate all security operations at East Midlands Airport, one of the busiest and most critical transportation hubs in the region.

You will require:

• Proven experience in a leadership role not necessarily within airport security
• Have a passion to learn or build your knowledge on aviation security regulations and procedures
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergencies with composure
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and safety
