The role



As a Security Engineer at Azets, you will be responsible for supporting/managing the technical security environment, monitoring and enhancing security efforts and practices across the UK whilst supporting the Groups wider security initiatives. Contributing towards improving the existing IT Security operations, helping to drive forward the Information Security operation based on local and group requirements and obligations and maximising the potential of our security technology portfolio.



You will be an integral member of the security team both within the UK and across the Group. Working with others within the team, you will help ensure that we achieve and maintain an optimal level of security that keeps the business secure.

Key accountabilities



Ensure that the Company's security policy is maintained in line with business requirements. Act as subject matter expert on matters of security relating to our technology estate Ensure that processes are documented and communicated in a language that is relevant and understandable to all audiences. Deliver initiatives as needed and be able to demonstrate and track progress to stakeholders. Exploit the functionality within the existing security product portfolio. Raise the profile of security within the organisation by being proactively involved with stakeholders and customers. Complement this with security awareness material and supporting activities. Manage the risk of unavailability of services by ensuring that Disaster Recovery and Business continuity planning is considered as part of implementation and change and that constant review and testing takes place to ensure solutions are effective and meet requirements.


Skills & experience



A strong desire to learn and keep abreast of new technologies Developing and maintaining an excellent working relationship with the IT teams and ServiceDesk To challenge colleagues where security policy is not being followed and/or their (cyber-related) actions could harm the business To be meticulous in researching events and their cause and being able to summarise this in a non-technical manner Methodical, accurate and inquisitive 1-2 years Cyber Security experience
