Security Engineer-Cloud

As a Barclays Security Engineer-Cloud Services, you will join the Security Engineering and Technology Services and ensure that Barclays\xe2\x80\x99 services are operating at their optimum by building out and maintaining resilience, upgrading and patching, configuring systems and working with customers to meet their requirements. This would be a great opportunity for you to showcase your strong technical support and delivery background with recent experience in Cyber Security disciplines.

Hybrid Working

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining and operating supported security services/toolsets
• Creating and maintaining accurate and high quality documentation
• Negotiating and managing timeline/prioritization expectations effectively with stakeholders
• Being customer-focused on strong service delivery
• Managing, co-ordinating and implementing technical project activities
• Implementing enhancements to services
• Conducting Incident/Problem/Recovery activities
• Remediating Audit and Control issues

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, working experience within large and complex projects
• Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting vendor applications
• Proven experience of cloud technologies and automation in an operational environment (AWS, Containers, Chef)
• Solid understanding of networking technologies; switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, IDS, IPS

Skills that will help you in the role:

• An understanding of security tool sets; Vulnerability Assessment, Firewall Assurance, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
• Experience with scripting / programming languages, Python, PowerShell, Chef, SQL
• Proven working experience of Windows and Linux operating systems

Where you will be working
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
